Space as Response: Taiwan Perspectives After the 1980s

Independent Art Spaces of Taiwan is a research project of the Asia Art Archive (AAA) focused on Taiwan’s independent art spaces from the 1980s to the early 21st century that involves collecting, organizing and building of archives. The first public event related to this project was co-organized by C-LAB and AAA, introducing the core purposes of the project. Departing from the theme of “response,” WU Ma-Li, CHENG Mei-Ya, and Amy CHENG were invited to lecture on the key phenomena of Taiwan’s independent art spaces from the 1980s to today based on their own experience.
