Co-Existence: Cyclical Dance and Sound Space

During the biennial C-LAB Sound Festival: Diversonics, highly experimental cross-disciplinary creations are presented. As part of the 2021 festival’s Sounds of Contemporary Dance, the member of the street dance company Hexaagram HUNG Yi-Po joined forces with composer HSIEH Hsien-Te to launch Co-Existence. Through binaural technology, sound flowed within the space. The audience wandered between the performance and the performers, perceiving the power created as performers and sounds collided.

Cultural experimentation anticipates a disobedient attitude that facilitates cultural reversion and creative collision. When experiments become an attitude, a wide spectrum of cultural initiatives and fresh paths will unfold and extend like water, shock, sonic, light, or electric waves.
