Welcome. When Was Your Last Trip?

The CREATORS project, A Wave Is Coming: Cross-Border Discussion and Action of Magang Village, is derived from the forced relocation of the Magang fishing village. Following months of action, ExiStone Workgang called attention to the situation faced by this small village in northeastern Taiwan at C-LAB, with its exhibition IN WAVES Tourist Resort. The short and random encounters experienced when traveling possess possibilities for crossing over and interacting. ExiStone Workgang invited visitors to enter the IN Waves Tourist Resort and attempted to interpret the village from multiple perspectives. Based on imaginative exploration of “alternative travel proposals,” information exchange, sensory perception, and the flow of ideas were activated.

Cultural experimentation anticipates a disobedient attitude that facilitates cultural reversion and creative collision. When experiments become an attitude, a wide spectrum of cultural initiatives and fresh paths will unfold and extend like water, shock, sonic, light, or electric waves.

CLABO, an online journal published by C-LAB, aims to create confluences of cultural creators and serve as a community platform for all partners of cultural experiment projects. With unprecedented cultural experiments, we have started bravely venturing into the future!
